Formula Drift Round 2 – Road Atlanta

Formula Drift kicks off Round 2 at Road Atlanta for one of the most anticipated events of the 2016 season, “Road to the Championship”!  Drivers will be hitting accelerated entries and tight turns of the Road Atlanta course, back where Formula Drift started with it’s inaugural season back in 2004.  The 2 day drifting extravaganza will feature Pro and Pro2 classes with Konig sponsored drivers Nate Hamilton and Kevin Lawerence of Enjuku Racing as well as Patrick Mourdaunt in his Drift Paddock Nissan 350z.  Check out the  teaser video below or watch the live action via Formula Drift’s broadcast!

Enjuku Racing – Nate Hamilton LS Swap S13 Dyno Pull

Check out this Enjuku Racing dyno pull featuring Formula Drift driver Nate Hamilton’s LS swapped and turbo S13 Nissan 240sx being finessed by RS-Enthalpy. Both cars are in the final stages of preparing for their Formula Drift Pro 2 season openers!  Nate’s S13 is running Konig Flow Formed Hypergram wheels in 17×9 front and 18×9.5 rear for the 2016 Formula Drift season.

On a serious note, watch this video!  This car isn’t only extremely clean and well put together but the power and torque is ridiculous!!  We’re not going to lie.  We kind of need one of these in the garage!

Pat Mordaunt – Formula Drift Round 1 Recap

It was a wet and rainy weekend for the drivers at Formula Drift Round 1 in Long Beach, CA. with track conditions so bad that Formula Drift decided to cancel qualifying and seed the bracket based on the 2015 season standings.  Pat Mordaunt took to the tarmac in his Nissan 350z against “Mad Mike” Widdet in his Mazda with Patrick having an excellent lead run with an advantage but unfortunately Mike created a gap in the second run pulling a victory over Patrick.  Patrick and his team is looking forward to Round 2 May 6th-7th at Road Atlanta and hopefully some dry weather!  Check out some shots from Long Beach, CA. of Pat and his 350z on Konig Hypergram Flow Formed wheels.

Super Street’s 16 Scion iM Project

A few months ago Super Street took delivery of the 2016 Scion iM and it didn’t take them long to show what lowering the suspension and a set of wheels can do! From Super Street’s perspective the Scion iM is a practical every day car with no need for the tens of thousands of dollars to be invested for a full blown show car. Instead the iM has gone through a budget friendly Stage 1 upgrade resulting in much better handling, grip and looks.

Now sitting on Konig Oversteer wheels in a Opal finish at an 18×8 sizing up from the factory 17×7 giving the iM a sportier look and feel. The Oversteer wheels have been paired with high-performance all-season Falken tires along with RS-R Down Sus springs for better handling and a conservative drop for everyday comfortability. GoGo Gear Racing at USTCC Round 1

The United States Touring Car Championship season began with Round 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 16th where the GoGoGear.com’s racing team had some impressive finishes!  The GoGoGear.com/Konig Wheels sponsored Hyundai Genesis running Konig Integram Flow Formed wheels had placed 1st in the Touring Car class with driver Gary Sheehan behind the wheel.  With all of the GoGoGear.com’s drivers finishing with some great positions at the end of Round 1, they are definitely a team to look out for throughout the remainder of the USTCC season.  See the full list of results below.

2016 Formula Drift Season Kicks Off

With the start of the 2016 Formula Drift Season among us, the action kicks off this weekend in Long Beach, California on the renowned Grand Prix Street Circuit where drivers will be hitting turns 9, 10, and 11 of the course. Konig sponsored Pro Driver Pat Mordaunt will be unleashing fury in his Nissan 350z running Konig Hypergram wheels and the freshly wrapped Falken Tire livery.
