On this episode, we are joined by Chris Steinbacher. Chris is the content creator behind the wildly popular YouTube channel ” B is for Build “. Chris’s journey has documented one man’s love for cars while showing what it takes to do some serious DIY automotive magic from your own home.

The journey has developed a cult-like following and captured some incredibly candid and pivotal milestones that have helped to shape the channel. Things like Chris getting laid off from his original full-time job and making the jump to a full-time content creator.

Behind The Wheel Podcast: – EP04 – Peter Tarach (Speed Academy)

Peter Tarach, former editor-in-chief of Modified Magazine and current co-mastermind behind the online and YouTube automotive content source Speed Academy, lends us his time to talk about cars, the automotive industry, magazines, losing his job after the closing of Modified Magazine, car features, being a YouTuber, turning out content and so much more!

Pete was the written voice behind some of the most memorable car features over the past 15 years. In 2014 his time as Editor-In-Chief of Modified Magazine came to a halt as Source Interlink (the then owner of Modified Magazine) made a decision to close the magazine. After leaving modified magazine Pete brought his voice and love of automotive forward by co-starting Speed Academy with Dave Pratte. Tarach’s knowledge and love of the automotive industry and cars, in general, allows an extremely unique perspective. If you have the time, this is a great listen and even offers new Youtubers some extremely vital tips in growing their channel.

Speedway Academy’s “5-Day Track Build Challenge” Episodes 1-4

So if you have been under a rock lately you might have missed that Speed Academy is underway on a 5 Day Track Car Challenge Build. Just incase the build title wasn’t clear enough, they are basically building a track car in 5 days a documenting it for the world to see. The guys of Speed Academy are super informative and bring a hell of a resume. Again, incase you were under that rock we keep speaking of, Peter Tarach was the former editor of Modified Magazine and David Pratte has been writing for books such as Modified, Performance Auto Sound Magazine (PASMAG) and many other slick projects. Their content is amazing and fun to watch.

Here is the added bonus! They linked up with the master of everything that is Honda, Brian Gillespie, to pull off the build!
