The rise of PERFORMANCE SEDANS… Are 4 doors better than 2?

Are 2-door coupes officially dying out, or are 4-door enthusiast sedans actually taking over for the better?

In this episode of KONIG’s Behind the Wheel Podcast, Nick and Matt break down the modern lineup of enthusiast sedans—from heavy hitters like the Honda Civic Type R and Acura Integra Type S to the best performance 4-doors on the market today.

We dive deep into why auto manufacturers are ditching 2-door coupes in favor of 4-door performance models. Is it to cater to everyday practicality, lower manufacturing costs, or have sedans just gotten that good? Join the debate and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

OEM+ vs. Custom Builds: What’s the BEST Way to Build a Car?

How far should you go when modifying your car? Is an OEM+ build the perfect balance of factory styling and tasteful upgrades, or is going fully custom with aftermarket parts the best way to build something truly unique? Is there even really a correct answer?

In this episode of **KONIG Behind the Wheel**, we’re breaking down the differences between OEM+ builds and fully custom builds. From factory performance upgrades and subtle styling changes to aftermarket wheels, suspension, aero, and everything in between, we discuss the pros, cons, and appeal of each approach.

Is keeping things close to factory the smarter move, or does a proper enthusiast build need to stand out from the crowd?

The Best & Worst factory wheels… “WHY ARE THE WHEELS SQUARE?!”

What makes a factory wheel iconic, and what makes one look like it belongs in the scrap pile? In this episode of KONIG’s Behind the Wheel, we’re breaking down the BEST and WORST factory wheels of all time… help us roast some of the worst.

From the aggressive, motorsport-inspired wheels on the BMW G80 M3 to some of the questionable and oddly-shaped designs we’re seeing from manufacturers like Kia or Hyundai, we’re talking about the OEM wheels that nailed the design — and the ones that left us scratching our heads.

We’ll discuss what makes a factory wheel stand out, the designs that have aged like fine wine, and the wheels that should have never made it past the drawing board.

Maybe your older JDM car is already heavily modified, but suddenly you want to add a backup camera. Maybe the turbo you installed five years ago doesn’t seem quite big enough anymore. Or maybe you just discovered a new part that you absolutely have to have.

What factory wheels deserve a spot on the list? And which ones are the absolute worst? Let us know your picks in the comments!
